1 sm red onion finely chopped or 1 Tbsp dried red onion rehydrated in hot water for 5 minutes
1 c sunflower seeds
1 c raisins or Craisins
Optional: 2 oz chopped macadamia nuts

10 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled or 5/8 C real bacon crumbles
1 c mayonnaise - 208 gr
1/2 c sugar - 109 gr
2 T vinegar - 25 g

2 bunches of broccoli, cut into small pieces (stems can be easily chopped in a food processor)
Combine the first five ingredients. Mix the next three together and then pour over the broccoli mixture.
Hint: You can microwave the bacon for about 8 minutes to get it crisp. Also, for a twist, swap the sunflower seeds for chopped cashews.
For anyone allergic to soybeans or eggs found in mayonnaise, substitute the following:
Honey-Dijon salad dressing.
3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1/4 C honey
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
pinch black pepper
Combine the above and then add water to thin, as needed.
